CAD Engineer - Hyderabad, India - Dhruva Space

Key Responsibilities :

• Interpret mechanical engineers requirements/ specifications thoroughly and prepare complete and functional CAD models convert 2D drawings.
• Create documentation for configurations
• Perform engineering work related to configuring, deploying, maintaining and updating high quality CAD models in the intended time frame
• Utilize DFAM, DFM, GD&T principles to determine limitations, assumptions and solutions in the design and development of CAD models
• Making detailed assembly and part level drawings, maintaining and releasing the drawings for production, BOM creation
• Maintain configuration and proper versioning of files ; working with PDM client
• Assist with electrical routing for satellite components
• Liasoning with AIT, production and QA/QC team to resolve manufacturing issues and assist in Assembly plan
• Prepare detailed renders of products to support documentation and proposal creation
• Conversion of 2D Drawing in 3D CAD models. Read and understand drawings thoroughly.
• Performing rendering using Solidworks CAD plugins

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum 0-3 years experience with 3D CAD modeling of complex parts and large assemblies in Solidworks & final manufacturing drawings with GD&T using Solidworks
• Experience in the aerospace, space or defense sector preferred
• Sound understanding of mechanical parts and assembly tolerances is expected
• Electrical Routing and Rendering experience preferred
• Good Understanding of DFAM ( Design for Assembly and Manufacturing), DFM and GD&T
