Senior Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to support comprehensive IT infrastructure assessment initiatives. The role involves evaluating existing network environments, identifying risks and gaps, and recommending scalable, secure, and high-performing network architectures.

This position reports directly to the Infrastructure Architect and requires collaboration with cross-functional teams for holistic infrastructure assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough assessments of enterprise network environments (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, VPNs).
Document and analyze network topologies, hardware inventory, and configurations to identify performance, availability, and scalability issues.
Evaluate network security vulnerabilities, compliance risks, and bottlenecks.
Support architects in defining future-state network design and remediation plans.
Recommend optimizations and upgrades based on industry best practices.
Collaborate with datacenter, cloud, and cybersecurity teams for integrated infrastructure assessment.
Develop technical documentation, executive summaries, and findings reports.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.
Hands-on expertise with routing and switching (Cisco, Juniper), firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet), and SD-WAN technologies.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is beneficial.
Familiarity with network monitoring and assessment tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, NetBrain).
Excellent documentation and communication skills are essential.
Industry certifications like CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
