- Prior exposure to Data Engineering. Ability to appreciate the need for data pipelines that either perform a traditional ETL or the modern ELT. Ability to differentiate between the two.
- Ability to design robust pipelines with idempotency, knowledge of dedupe techniques and ability to integrate tests for data quality.
- Knowledge of Snowflake platform is nice to have,
- Advanced SQL knowledge – analytical functions / window functions. Any SQL dialect / database is fine. Basic performance optimizations – index, clustering, predicate based optimizations etc.
- Knowledge of any tool / orchestrator that can be used to develop a data pipeline.
- Intermediate knowledge in python.
- Apache Airflow exposure will be nice to have but not mandatory.
- Exposure to aws. Ability to understand setting up EC2 instance, basic knowledge on IAM roles and policies. Ability to work with S3 buckets. Integration with Snowflake.
- Experience 4+ years with atleast years on the data stack.
