Position: Head -Front End Engineering, Digital Business

Purpose: The incumbent will lead a team for our app development across HTML5 based platforms that include Smart TVs, Web, Mobile Web, Playstation, Roku and other HTML5 platforms. The incumbent will frequently collaborate with an enterprise architect for strategic guidance and must possess a well-balanced blend of technical and business skills.

To review requirements, evaluate and recommend options and implement solutions for project and operational scenarios with varying degrees of complexity for smart tv platforms and other web-based TV applications, working along with the technical team, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Education: B.E./B.Tech, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

Experience: 12+ Years experience

Proficient in web technologies (Smart TV JavaScript Frameworks, React JS, Node JS, API gateways, web services) and Cloud infrastructure.

Location: Bengaluru

• Finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems.
• Describing the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.
• Defining features, phases, and solution requirements.
• Providing specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.

Processes Management

• Collaborating with product, business teams to prioritize the roadmap
• Analyzing the technology environment
• Analyzing and documenting requirements
• Creating a solution prototype

Knowledge Management

• Driving the science roadmap for web platforms & analytics services.
• Driving technical and architecture planning for the Web platforms.
• Thorough understanding of application development, hands on at solutioning.

• Technical
• Strong understanding of Smart TV platform development, including architecture, APIs, and libraries
• Strong understanding of Web, Mobile Web development. Leveraging webviews for Native Apps.
• Experience with app development for Smart TV (Tizen, Orsay, WebOS, Linux based Operating Systems), Playstation
• Experience with software design patterns, such as MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Should have experience in Smart-TV JavaScript-Frameworks like TAL, React JS development with proven experience in developing scalable, reliable, and robust products.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of software design principles and UX best practices
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable Smart TV applications.
• Good understanding of focus management on TV (building custom libraries for focus or any third-party libraries)
• Should be knowledgeable with video player integrations with shaka-player, video-js, hls-js, dash-js or similar web players.
• Understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CDNs is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Video transcoding engines [ffMpeG, AWS Media convert etc..]
• Should have knowledge of web technologies, APIs Gateways, Web Services for mobile apps and Payment gateways such as JusPay, razorpay , UPI, PayTM etc.
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
