    Position Summary

    Reporting to: Director, Human Resources.

    Managing: A talent acquisition team of 1-2 Managers and 2 Associates.

    The Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition will grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity by attracting leaders across sectors to join Teach For India. They will be responsible for sourcing, fuelling, engaging and selecting Teach For India's talent pipeline as well as overseeing the intern programs at Teach For India.

    Responsibilities

    As the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition:

  • Create the Talent Strategy and Operational Plan and identify crucial hiring metrics (turnaround time, applicant experience, diversity and quality of hire in order to drive data driven decisions for the vertical etc).
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders by: (a) building and maintaining relationships with Fellows, Staff, Fellow Alumni, interns, volunteers, universities, (b) working alongside the Communications vertical on regional branding strategies and (c) working with the Technology Director to build the necessary platforms and tools required to support the application process.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline (with direct ownership over senior roles).
  • Project manage the entire talent acquisition process by: (a) driving efficiency improvements in existing systems and processes, (b) managing the talent calendar and budget, (c) designing effective job profiles, (d) identifying and executing appropriate talent strategies and (e) executing a thoughtful Matriculation and onboarding plan
  • Design and implement an engagement program that successfully recruits a number of Teach for India's Staff Alumni back to the organization.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of a world-class intern program that will attract more leaders to the educational sector and create a prospect pool for staff and Fellow roles.

  • Driving engagement, growth, and retention of team members.
  • Engineering and overseeing a monitoring and evaluation system , coupled with strategic direction, to guide our abilities to continuously improve.

  • Contributing to the team goals and priorities beyond individual goals and priorities.
  • Driving internal alignment and support for Teach For India's core Programs.
  • Serving as an ambassador of the Teach For India brand and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply.
  • Supporting with key organizational areas such as Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experiences and Expectations

  • 5-8 years of professional experience.
  • Experience of having built and managed high functioning team(s) to outcomes.
  • Experience in driving operations in high pressure, goal driven environments.
  • Experience of having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups particularly through partnerships.
  • Experiences of having taken initiative in the past.
  • Previous experience in teaching/education would be an added advantage (not mandatory).
