    Role Summary

    This position is ideal for a Senior Scrum Master to join the Mobile Application Development teams at Align Technology. The individual will drive key projects to delivery while supporting Agile processes for mobile applications. This hybrid role includes responsibilities as a Scrum Master and Business Analyst, providing critical insights, facilitating process improvements, and influencing team culture and delivery outcomes.

    This role is vital in shaping Align's digital platform goals and delivering key features for mobile applications.

    Role Expectations

    In this role, you will:

    • Facilitate the Scrum process across teams involved in complex projects, platform transformations, or maintenance work.
    • Guide teams and the organization in adopting Agile/Scrum practices, with a focus on team readiness, prioritization, and Sprint commitments.
    • Use empirical data to assess Scrum maturity, optimize team velocity, and identify areas of improvement to enhance team performance.
    • Partner with Product Owners to ensure continuous refinement and prioritization of the backlog, potentially spanning multiple projects.
    • Own and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives).
    • Collaborate with Product Owners, Program or Project Managers to communicate team deliverables and escalate risks or blockers.
    • Perform business requirements analysis and develop user stories to support the Agile development process.
    • Create and manage development and sustainment tasks using JIRA, including ticket creation and backlog grooming.
    • Provide customer and end-user support as needed.
    • Apply business process reviews to coordinate activities across functional business units.

    What We're Looking For

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

    Experience:

    • 8+ years in a Scrum Master or PMO role, ideally in mobile application or digital product development environments.

    Skills & Tools:

    • Proficient in JIRA, JQL, JIRA Dashboards, and other Agile collaboration tools.
    • Strong experience in Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
    • Ability to perform detailed requirements analysis and translate them into actionable user stories.
    • Experience supporting Agile team delivery and optimizing processes for velocity and effectiveness.

    Communication:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Confident in delivering presentations and facilitating cross-functional discussions.

    Teamwork:

    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
