    Required Skills:

    • Demonstratable working knowledge and application of video editing experience
    • Ability to direct and self-edit with a technical understanding and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition
    • Experience with handling copyrighted and trademarked assets and appropriate attribution
    • Use of collaborative version control and feedback platforms (eg. )
    • Familiarity with Youtube Creator Studio, and its reporting features
    • Experience designing and deploying video to YouTube and social media sites and in appropriate formats (eg. For portrait, landscape, mobile, etc)
    • Ability to appraise and collaborate with content creators for creative direction in video filming.
    • Can ensure videos adhere to established style, brand and tone of each channel.
    • Awareness of creating accessible content
    • Ability to set the tone for and build a library of motion graphics, (eg. After Effects)
    • Practical organisation of document management hygiene and best practices
    • Colour grading and sound design expertise

    Desirable Skills:

    • Use of project management platforms such as Workfront
    • Working with Adobe Photoshop and 2D graphical asset creation
    • Previous use of Project Management Software
    • Understanding of good SEO Practices for website and social content.
    • Ability to communicate or understand languages other than English.
    • Previous experience with managing or engaging with an online Community
    • Captioning, transcript and script writing/editing skills
    • Familiarity with Brightcove

    Principal Responsibilities:

    Ownership of creative video editing, motion graphics and design for YouTube and social media, along with the Community website and platform.

    Constructively providing feedback to talent and the internal team for video creation, along with editing and assembling raw footage into compelling, visually appealing videos for our channels.

    Working with creative designers to produce assets such as creation and editing of thumbnails for videos, ideally with the capability to be a backup for this process.

    Ownership of deploying videos to platforms ensuring compliance with copyright and guidelines, for example visuals and audio adhering to youtube guidelines, and other social media channels.

    Ensuring that content is accessible, both from a visual standpoint and appropriate captioning.

    Editing and creating video content that is engaging and compelling, while working with the channel manager to ensure it aligns with the vision and goals for each video and channel and its strategy.

    Demonstratable capability workload management and parallel working on video assets and content creation, with agile-like feedback and adjustments in a timely manner.

    Maintain and be responsible for the archive and documentation of video content.

    Identifies and cultivates key relationships with applicable internal and external stakeholders.

    Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline. Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.

    Work Experience:

    3+ Years Professional Experience within the video creation and deployment role with a bachelor's degree
    Experience creating and editing video for social media platforms in a paid or volunteer role.

    Education and Certification(s):

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.

    A demonstratable video portfolio is required.
