    , operating in the field of power electronics, has as an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Thermal analysis.


    Job SummaryThe Mechanical Thermal Engineer is responsible for the Thermal Analysis of current carrying parts , electrical enclosures, and power converters.

    Works with minimal supervision and develops thermal model for analysis using Ansys or similar tools . .

    ResponsibilitiesApply analytical and numerical methods to carry out thermal analysis of power packages.
    Ensuring cooling designs are optimized thermally.
    Suggest changes in the mechanical design and cooling to achieve optimal performance.
    Calculate heat transfer for different mediums and in different design scenarios.
    Advise types of cooling, heating, insulation, etc. required for product or system build.

    References project specifications, industry codes and norms, safety issues, electrical requirements, and other factors to ensure designs comply with regulations.

    Checks that systems built meet thermal transfer specifications and, if they do, approve the designs of other engineers.
    Selecting appropriate materials and components with consideration towards corrosion, acoustics, as well as thermal transfer.
    Analyses existing processes that involve heat transfer to determine where they can be improved and made more cost-effectiveCommunication with stakeholders and other engineering staff

    QualificationsMTech degree in mechanical engineering.
    Expert knowledge of fluid flows and heat transfer.
    Must have direct experience using Heat Transfer tools - Power Converter experience strongly preferred.
    Must possess knowledge and direct experience in the fundamentals of mechanical design and the usage of thermal analysis tools.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Proven to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
