Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled R Shiny programmer to develop interactive reports that transform clinical trial data into actionable insights. As an R Shiny programmer, you will design, build, deploy, and optimize user-friendly web applications for clinical data analysis and visualization.

About the Role:

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, bioinformatics programmers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand application requirements and translate them into intuitive R Shiny interfaces. Key responsibilities include:

Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to understand data and user needs
Translating complex data analysis and visualization tasks into clear and user-friendly interfaces
Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented R code, conducting R code reviews, and R programming validation
Integrating R Shiny applications with AWS services such as AWS Redshift
Implementing unit tests and ensuring the quality and performance of applications
Benchmarking and optimizing application performance
Identifying inconsistencies and initiating resolution of data, analytical, or reporting problems

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, and 2 to 8 years relevant experience
Proven experience building R Shiny applications
Strong proficiency in R programming, including data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization
Experience using SQL
Understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) principles
Experience gathering requirements and translating them into applications
Experience using RStudio and Version Control software (Git, SVN, or similar) to manage programming code
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, in both written and oral format
Experience with POSIT Workbench, Connect, and/or Package Manager
Experience with R markdown
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience with AWS cloud computing services such as Redshift, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch
