    About the company

    We are seeking a highly skilled and seasoned Global Finance Controller to serve as a strategic executive to our CFO. This individual will lead our financial management functions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance with US GAAP and Indian accounting standards, and the development of robust internal controls. This role demands expertise in both US and Indian financial regulatory frameworks, with an additional layer of understanding in transfer pricing for transactions between the US and Indian entities.

    Summary

    GCFO is seeking a Manager to join our innovative team. This role is not only a leadership

    position within our firm but also a critical part of our expansion strategy of acquiring and integrating other accounting and tax practices. In this role you will join the leadership team of a recently acquired practice, partnering with the existing leadership team to take the practice to the next level. The successful candidate will own a client relationships and revenue portfolio and actively participate in business development. You are both a seasoned tax expert who doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves and an entrepreneur who wants to build a business. This is a unique opportunity to be on the partner/owner track and manage your P&L within a rapidly growing company.

    Requirements

    Financial Operations and Reporting:

    • Lead the preparation and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flows) in accordance with US GAAP and Indian accounting standards.
    • Supervise all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition.
    • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

    Tax Compliance and Collaboration:

    • Liaise closely with the tax team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of Federal and State tax returns for the US entity.
    • Coordinate with India-based teams and external advisors on Indian tax compliance matters (TDS, GST, etc.)

    International Considerations and Transfer Pricing:

    • Analyze intercompany transactions between the US and Indian entities, ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations for both jurisdictions.
    • Partner with the tax team to develop and document transfer pricing policies in accordance with OECD guidelines and best practices.
    • Stay abreast of evolving transfer pricing regulations and their impact on the company's operations.

    Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis:

    • Partner with the CFO to develop and manage comprehensive budgets and forecasts.
    • Analyze financial data, identifying trends, and variances, and providing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.

    Internal Controls, Risk Management, and Compliance:

    • Develop, document, and implement rigorous internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain financial integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with US and Indian financial regulations, reporting standards, and relevant tax laws.
    • Lead risk assessment processes, and identify and mitigate potential financial risks.

    Team Management:

    • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of bookkeepers and accountants.

    Experience & Competencies

    Professional Credentials: CPA or CA (or equivalent) strongly preferred.

    Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with demonstrable experience as a Finance Controller or similar management position at a global services provider company.

    Proven track record in a company with international operations, ideally with both US and Indian presence.

    Experience with transfer pricing analysis and documentation.

    Deep expertise in US GAAP and a strong understanding of Indian accounting principles.

    Expert-level proficiency in accounting software packages like Xero, QuickBooks, and other relevant enterprise financial systems.

    Advanced MS Excel skills (VLookups, pivot tables, financial modeling).

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.

    Strong problem-solver with the ability to analyze complex financial information and propose solutions.
