    Position Summary:

    The Plant Head/Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing plant's operations to ensure efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and achievement of production targets, compliance managing security. dvipa Defence India Private Limited is a Category A defence facility, this is the highest category, and it requires special attention in dealing with members from MHA ministry of home affairs, IB intelligence bureau, Military personal and other govt bodies to maintain the standing. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and effective management skills to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Overall Operations Management:

    · Provide leadership and direction to all plant departments, including production, quality control, maintenance, engineering, and logistics.

    · Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives to optimize plant performance and achieve business goals.

    · Maintain all regulatory requirements in the facility and make sure that all personal adhere to all the norms stated by the ministry of home affairs & other governing bodies.

    Production Planning and Scheduling:

    · Develop production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer demands.

    · Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet production targets while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

    Quality Control and Assurance:

    · Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure that products meet specified requirements and customer expectations.

    · Implement quality assurance processes (ISO 9000, ISO 14000 & NABL) and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and consistency.

    · The candidate must possess prior experience in an environment that adheres to ISO 9000, ISO 14000, and NABL guidelines, as they will be responsible for implementing these procedures and ensuring personnel adhere to these production standards.

    Resource Management:

    · Manage human resources, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and workforce planning.

    · Optimize the allocation of resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to support production objectives.

    Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

    · Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.

    · Implement policies and procedures to promote workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

    Budgeting and Cost Management:

    · Develop and manage budgets for plant operations, including production costs, labour expenses, and overheads.

    · Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

    Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing:

    · Identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction through the application of lean manufacturing principles.

    · Lead cross-functional teams to implement lean initiatives and drive operational excellence throughout the organization.

    Supplier and Vendor Management:

    · Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials, components, and services.

    · Negotiate contracts and terms of agreement to optimize procurement processes and minimize supply chain risks.

    Strategic Planning and Business Development:

    · Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and expansion.

    · Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to capitalize on growth opportunities and gain a competitive edge.

    Communication and Reporting:

    · Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on plant performance, key performance indicators

    (K P Is), and operational metrics.

    · Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including department heads, staff members, and cross-

    functional teams, to ensure alignment and accountability.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    · Job Type: Full-time

    · Salary: ₹900,000 - ₹1,200,000 per year

    · Experience: 12 to 15 years

    · Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field; preference for a master's degree.

    · Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing, demonstrating success in operations management.

    · Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and regulatory compliance.

    · Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating teams towards achieving objectives.

    · Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, trend identification, and data-driven decision-making.

    · Desirable experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

    · Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, drive cost reduction initiatives, and optimize resource utilization.

    · Proficiency in MS Office suite and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

    · Work Environment:

    · The Plant Head/Director of Operations functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment, where

    adaptability, resilience, and agility are crucial for success. Occasional travel may be required for meetings,

    conferences, or site visits.

    · Maintenance and Facilities Management: Supervise maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and

    minimize downtime.

    · Develop preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as necessary.

    · Manage facility upgrades and expansions to support production growth.
