Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic Stores & Purchase Head to lead procurement, vendor management, and inventory control for our large-scale cattle feed manufacturing plant. The role demands strong negotiation skills, operational excellence, and deep knowledge of raw materials and supply chain practices in the feed industry. If you have the expertise in purchase & stores management within Agriculture, food,  processing, feed manufacturing and are ready to take up a leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.,  

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and execute purchase strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables.
• Identify, qualify, and manage vendors to ensure timely supply and cost efficiency.
• Negotiate contracts, rates, credit terms, and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Oversee inventory management, stock audits, and reconciliation processes.
• Implement best practices in stores management – FIFO, safety stock, and inventory optimization.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and finance teams for seamless operations.
• Drive cost reduction, vendor performance evaluation, and supply chain risk mitigation.
• Lead the stores & purchase team with accountability for timely procurement and accurate stock records.

Candidate Profile :

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain, Material Management, or related field.
• 10–15 years of experience in purchase & stores management, preferably in cattle feed, food processing, or agro industry.
• Strong vendor network and knowledge of agri-based raw materials.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management tools.
