Roles & Responsibilities

• Ability to plan and execute the Embedded system test activities, leveraging use cases in support of test case development.
• Develop a comprehensive set of automated and manual tests, tracing tests to requirements to ensure complete test coverage.
• Identify and diagnose Firmware and software defects, verifying correctness, and reporting results.
• Apply knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines, as well as in-depth knowledge of assigned product or technology area in guiding the direction of software test efforts.
• Ability to translate Product level specs into work scope.
• Develop Product Requirement Verification & Validation of Application and Firmware.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Embedded System Automation testing

Critical Success Factors

• Ability to develop and execute Firmware test environments and test scripts to achieve automated test for embedded software.
• Experience using Configuration Management tools (such as git, Subversion, GitLab)
• Demonstrated experience using scripting languages (such as Bash/shell, Perl, Python, C, C++, C# etc.)
• Prior experience with Jira, Test Mo, HPALM or other requirements/test case management tools
• Experience in debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems issues
• Exposure to multiple high level programming languages including Python, C++ and C.
• Experience in various wireless communication protocols like BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, UHF etc
• Experience in IR Protocol
• Experience in sniffing and debugging wireless data using sniffing tools
• Experience in End-to-end testing of Embedded systems products.
• Experience in using various tools like Wireshark, Logic analyzer, Joule scope, Variable DC power supplies etc.

Academic Qualification

• B.E or M.E. in Electronics and communication engineering
