    Description

    The tasks, roles, and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Assistant Manager/ Senior Associate will include the following:Working on advisory projects including technical research, drafting memo, presentations and webinars, etc.

    Review of transaction documents such as shareholders agreements, constitution documents, share subscription agreements, etc. from tax and regulatory standpoints. Providing comments on such documents. Undertaking fund structuring, PE review, etc.

    Identifying issues / providing solutions on complex transactionsInteracting with middle management client contacts on day-to-day mattersReviewing and finalizing the tax computations –tax returns, withholding tax computation, advance tax, etc.

    Independently handling scrutiny assessments including preparing the submissions, highlighting complex tax issues and representations before tax officersCo-ordinating with the tax authorities and visiting the tax office for regular follow-ups, rectification, refund follow-up, etc.

    Interaction with regulators on an informal basis for various queriesAnalyzing and interpreting provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1956, Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999, SEBI regulations and Company LawResponsible for the complete execution of the assigned engagementsCoordinating with the Manager/ AD on the planning and management of assignments and ensuring timely deliveryOverseeing the work of Associate, Analysts, and Senior Analysts.

    Profile RequirementsWorking in this discipline will see an Assistant Manager/ Senior Associate working on engagements and teams (the sizes of which will vary depending on client/project)

    To qualify for the same, an Assistant Manager / Senior Associate will need:
    To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years of relevant experienceThorough knowledge of direct tax and FEMA regulations.

    Should be conversant with SEBI and Company lawKnowledge of the current developments and impact of the same on the individual taxation.


    Other prerequisite skills include:

    • Thorough knowledge of tax regulations, interpretation of treaties, FEMA, SEBI, Company Law etc.
    Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
