    Job Summary

    If you are an experienced Data Engineering professional passionate about building data solutions and looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. To be successful in this role, you will need to apply logical data modelling, development, and engineering skills using the latest technology stack we have in place along with handling projects and work such as Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.

    In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

    1. Work closely with key collaborators to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements that would feed into developing effective data analytics solutions.
    2. Design and implement end-to-end data solutions in collaboration with other technical and functional teams.
    3. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant Azure services.
    4. Integrate data from various sources (on-premises and cloud) into Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, or other Azure data storage solutions.
    5. Develop data transformation processes using tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, TSQL and Python to clean, enrich, and prepare data for analysis.
    6. Supervise and optimize data pipelines and database performance for efficiency and scalability.
    7. Implement data security standard processes and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
    8. Possess deep technical knowledge of various data warehousing and analytics frameworks.
    9. Review and revise existing software development lifecycle and code standards.
    10. Work closely with the data analytics leadership to publish service and product roadmaps.
    11. Work on SharePoint and Power BI tools to manage, analyse and deduce data insights.
    12. Act as a point of escalation for sophisticated operational issues to ensure efficient performance of analytics systems.

    For This Role, You Will Need

    1. Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a Data Engineering role with experiences with:
    2. Strong Relational (SQL) databases, TSQL/PLSQL skills.
    3. Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing like Oracle, SQL, and Snowflake, and ETL processes.
    4. Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, and other Azure data services.
    5. Familiarity with data lakes, data governance, and data security.
    6. SharePoint Online and Power BI
    7. Technical expertise in data modelling, data mining, and segmentation techniques
    8. Experience with building new and fixing existing data pipelines using tools such as Pentaho Data Integration
    9. Experience with batch and real-time data ingestion and processing frameworks
    10. Experience with languages such as Python and Java
    11. Knowledge of additional cloud-based analytics solutions
    12. Hands-on experience working on Linux and Windows systems.
    13. Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
    14. Using Agile development methods
    15. Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
    16. Ability to work in a large, global corporate structure.
    17. Ability to lead, handle and deliver large scale projects.
    18. Advanced English level
    19. Demonstrable ability to clearly isolate and define problems, optimally evaluate alternative solutions, and make decisions in a timely manner.
    20. Good decision-making ability, ability to operate in ambiguous situations, and high analytical ability to judge pros/cons of approaches against objectives.

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science/Information Technology or equivalent
    2. Expert level knowledge of data analytics and warehousing frameworks, including Snowflake and Cloud-based data integration solutions.
    3. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD development practices
    4. Advanced level of software development knowledge
