    Overview:
    In this role, the Principal Engineer (Systems Architect, Mechanical) will be responsible for System Design of various Actuation Systems product lines including Power Door Opening System (PDOS), Thrust Reverser Actuation Systems (TRAS) and Highlift Flap and Slat Actuation systems and will actively participate in NPI (New Product Introduction), redesign and technology programs of Collins Aerospace Actuation Systems business unit

    Primary Responsibilities:
    Understand system requirements, design intent, and comply with applicable practices, standard works, aerospace standards, customer requirements and regulatory requirementsDevelop system/product level concept & architectureSupport program and technical reviews as and when required during design & development cycleLead the systems activities for NPI, technology programs, value engineering and resolve design issuesOwn and maintain technical processes and standard workFacilitate and drive the resolution production issues and field failure investigationsSupport Bid & Proposal for new productsBe self-motivated and keen to get involved in new technologies and projects and learn new skills to map out future career pathActively participate in a team environment and work with customers, suppliers, and cross functional teams for product development

    Basic Qualifications:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.

    Sound knowledge in mechanical engineering fundamentals, engineering materials, stress, fatigue, and vibration12 to 16 years of industry experience in Systems Engineering including 4+ years as System ArchitectPreferred Qualifications:
