    JobPurpose:

    The role of the DataScientist will autonomously identify and pursue research withsignificant business impact and make compelling cases forprioritization resource allocation and new product strategyPrioritize and execute in the face of

    ambiguityadapt tools to answer complicated questions and identify thetradeoffs between speed andquality.

    KeyAccountabilities:

    Analytics

    Develop analytics policy standards andguidelines.

    Establishes and manages analyticsmethods techniques and capabilities to enable the organization toAnalyze data generate insights create value and

    Drive decisionmaking.

    Sets direction and leadsthe introduction and use of analytics to meetoverall.

    Business requirements ensuringconsistency across all user groups.

    Identifiesand establishes the veracity of external sources of information ofrelevance to the operational needs of theenterprise.

    Methods andtool

    Provides advice guidance andexpertise to promote the adoption of methods and tools andadherence to policies and standards.

    Evaluateand select appropriate methods and tools in line with agreedpolicies and standards. Contributes to organizational policiesstandards and guidelines for methods andtools.

    Implements methods and tools at programproject and team levels including selection and tailoring in linewith agreed standards.

    Manages reviews of thebenefits and value of methods and tools. Identifies and recommendsimprovements.

    Datamanagement

    Devises and implementsmaster data management processes including classification securityquality ethical principles retrieval and retentionprocesses.

    Derives data management structuresand metadata to support consistency of information retrievalcombination analysis pattern recognition and interpretationthroughout the organization.

    Plans effectivedata storage sharing and publishing within theorganization.

    Independently validates externalinformation from multiple sources.

    Assessesissues that might prevent the organization from making maximum useof its information assets.

    Datavisualization

    Applies a varietyof visualization techniques and designs the content and appearanceof data visuals.

    Operationalizes and automatesactivities for efficient and timely production of data visuals.Select appropriate visualization approaches from a range ofapplicable options.

    Contributes to explorationand experimentation in datavisualization.

    DataScience

    Applies existing datascience techniques to new problems and datasets using specializedprogramming techniques.

    Selects from existingdata sources and prepares data to be used by data sciencemodels.

    Evaluate the outcomes and performance ofdata science models. Identifies and implements opportunities totrain and improve models and the data they use.

    Publishes and reports on model outputs to meet customer needs andconform to agreedstandards.

    Skills

    Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communicationskills.

    A flexible attitude concerning workassignments and new learning.

    Ability to managemultiple and varied tasks with enthusiasm and prioritize workloadwith attention to detail.

    Must have the abilityto work methodically in a fastpaced timesensitiveenvironment.

    Proven ability to useMicrosoft Office products (including Word ExcelPowerPoint).

    Knowledge andExperience:

    Experience using toolsto communicate progress toStakeholders.

    Experience with programminglanguages commonly used for data analysis (such as Python andSQL).

    Experience with Business Intelligence tools(such as Power BI and Tableau).

    Experience withRelational Databases.

    Experience with StatisticalAnalysis.

    Understanding of Agile methodologies(preferably Scrum) and UML.

    Awareness of ProjectLifecycle and Project Management methodologies Modelling ProcessModelling and/or other developmentmethodologies.

    Experience in and knowledge of thelife sciences sector.

    Solid Professionalexperience in the same or very similarrole.
