    Qualifications and Skills

    • Minimum of 10 to 19 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
    • Proficiency in Smart Plant 3D Design (SP3D) software for electrical design.
    • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering (EIE) principles and practices.
    • Familiarity with civil engineering and process piping design concepts.
    • Experience in designing electrical systems for oil and gas facilities.
    • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Good communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Design and develop electrical system layouts and specifications using industry-standard software.
    • Collaborate with the project team to understand the client's requirements and propose effective electrical solutions.
    • Create and review electrical drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to electrical design.
    • Coordinate with other disciplines (e.g., civil engineering, process piping design) to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
    • Perform electrical load calculations and power distribution analysis.
    • Conduct site visits to assess electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvements or modifications.
    • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to procure electrical materials and equipment.
    • Provide technical support and assistance during the construction and commissioning phases of projects.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in electrical design technology and incorporate them into the design process.
