Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Internal Audit Manager to lead our internal audit function. The Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of various internal departments to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, as well as identify areas for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a risk and cost-cutting based monthly and annual audit plan covering all internal departments and functions of the hospital.
Conduct thorough internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, financial reporting, operational processes, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Identify and evaluate risks associated with hospital operations and recommend practical and cost-effective solutions to mitigate risks.
Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans to address identified issues.
Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
Collaborate with department heads and management to provide guidance on internal control best practices, compliance requirements, and operational improvements.
Stay updated on healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to ensure the audit program remains current and relevant.
Lead and mentor the internal audit team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and standards, especially within the healthcare industry.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in auditing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
