    Description

    Job Title: Gameplay & Systems Designer

    We're seeking a talented Gameplay & Systems Designer to join our team in crafting an immersive dark fantasy co-op experience. This role focuses on designing systems that create fear, trust, betrayal, and cooperation without over-explaining mechanics to the player.


    You will craft gameplay that feels intentional, oppressive when required, and deeply rewarding when players solve problems together. Your expertise will help shape core co-op gameplay systems including shared resources and asymmetric roles.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design encounters that work in multiplayer while preserving atmosphere and psychological pressure

    • Create tension-driven mechanics using limited information and uncertainty

    • Craft progression systems aligned with a dark fantasy tone including skills, curses, upgrades,

    • Maintain and evolve the Game Design Document (GDD)

    Skill Requirements:

    • Familiarity with 3D game development engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity

    • Strong understanding of true co-op design principles rather than just multiplayer features

      • The ability to balance difficulty for multiple players without hand-holding is essential.
