    Job Description

    The main focus of the position is to provide Cloud, Infrastructure, and Automation support for our Global Enterprise Services. Additional technologies include VMWare, Citrix, Windows, Linux, Cloud, Ansible, and Security. The System Administrator II will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of our infrastructure environments as well as ensuring they are highly available and secure to guarantee their operation. Systems Administrator II should be able to work under the direction of Management, Leads, Experts and Sr. Sysadmins. Must follow methods provided by peers and comply with established service metrics.

    What you ́ll do:

  • Responsible for day to day administration of Large scale of Servers (physical and VM)
  • Develops automation tools and processes to help scale operations.
  • Audits and monitors the health and availability of systems.
  • Responsible for Disaster Recovery testing and restoration of critical services during DR events.
  • Ensures 24/7 availability of the production servers and applications within a team environment.
  • Resolves incidents and requests. Requires on-call availability on team rotation outside of normal business hours.
  • Leverages appropriate technical tools with direction to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as back up, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring).
  • Develops and maintains positive and cooperative relationships, inside and outside of teams, interacting in a friendly, open, honest, and accepting manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    What your background looks like:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering,
  • 6 years' experience with supporting open-source and Windows infrastructure, systems administration, as well as hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of virtualization and/or Cloud technologies (VMware, AWS, Azure, GCS.)
  • Understanding of DNS and DHCP technologies.
  • Ability to perform systems automation products (BladeLogic, Ansible, etc.) as well as working with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Perl) a big plus
  • Experience and knowledge with Citrix Infrasctruture
  • Attention to detail, and a drive to be successful; ability to work independently with minimal supervision or assistance, as well as good team communication skills, with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl scripting) a big plus
  • Strong work ethic and have a natural tendency to take ownership of incidents & requests.
  • Beneficial skills:

  • Experience working in AWS Cloud Environment
  • VMWare, Vsphere, VCenter
  • Service now, Jira experience.
  • Experience in PowerShell scripting languages
  • Experience with Ansible scripting
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Less, SAFe, Scrum and/or Kanban)
