- Proven experience leading the resource management function in a software product or services organization for a minimum of 3 years, with an overall experience of 12+ years in resource management.
- Develop and implement resource management strategies and processes to optimize resource allocation, utilization, and availability, with a focus on achieving specific performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain comprehensive data on all employees, including their skills and role expertise/suitability, leveraging appropriate technology platforms.
- Collaborate closely with product lines, function heads, and stakeholders to understand resource requirements and timelines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct capacity planning at both organizational and business unit levels, identifying potential bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization.
- Proactively reassign resources based on business unit/function needs, reviewing all new position requests to assess internal fulfilment possibilities.
- Effectively manage the bench by facilitating reskilling initiatives and timely assignment to new available positions, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain resource management tools, systems, and processes to enhance visibility, transparency, and efficiency, leveraging relevant technology platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve resource assignment conflicts, negotiate resource sharing agreements, and balance competing priorities .
- Drive resource utilization above organizational targets, both in terms of billing and time utilization, through continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Track and report billing utilization, workload, and utilization metrics, analyzing data across individuals, projects, and business units to inform decision-making.
- Identify and coordinate with the training function to address resource reskilling needs, ensuring alignment with evolving business requirements.
