    JOB DESCRIPTION


    The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for delivering high quality developmental milestones for the Vontier IT Shared Services ServiceNow platform.

    The ServiceNow Developer will be required to provide insight, analysis and prioritization of backlog items to further develop the ITSM Tools platform within Vontier IT Shared Services.

    The ServiceNow Developer will be required to participate in daily sprint discussions, and working with the team to successfully deliver on developmental goals.

    The ServiceNow Developer will be a skilled, hands-on professional that will act as the primary point of engagement for all new planned development areas, and investigation of potential new functionality within the ServiceNow and ITSM Tools landscape.

    The ServiceNow Developer may from time to time be required to work after hours, weekends, and holidays.

    The ServiceNow Developer will act as a investigator, and participate as part of a scrum development team, for all Vontier IT Shared Services, and works directly with the ServiceNow Architect, to provide input and guide all regional ITSM initiatives.

    Vontier requires that all associates comply with the Vontier Standard of Conduct.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    • Responsible for developing custom applications, modules, and workflows within the ServiceNow platform.
    • Responsible for customizing and configuring the ServiceNow platform to meet specific business needs. This includes creating and modifying forms, fields, tables, UI policies, business rules, and other platform components.
    • Responsible for integrating ServiceNow with other systems. Integrating systems such as HR systems, IT monitoring tools, and external databases. This involves APIs, web services, and integration tools to establish seamless data exchange and process automation.
    • Responsible for assisting with testing and validating the solutions that were designed and configured.
    • Responsible for removing impediments that prevent the team from achieving their goals. They work with the team to identify and resolve issues that are blocking progress.
    • Write and maintain scripts in JavaScript to enhance functionality and automation capabilities of the ServiceNow platform. Includes creating business rules, client scripts, UI actions and script include.
    • Responsible for staying up to date with the latest ITIL/Agile best practices and trends.
    • This position plays a critical role in ensuring that ServiceNow projects are aligned with the business needs of the organization and that the platform is configured to meet those needs.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor's degree in computer related subject or equivalent work experience or appropriate professional certifications.
    • Typically, can demonstrate - 5 years of IT work experience, with at least - 3 years Solution Developer role.
    • Experience as a ServiceNow Developer in a fast-paced application development environment.
    • Experience with scripting using JavaScript, CSS and Angular JS, Flows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI actions and pages, and widgets.
    • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform and experience web application development using Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and AJAX.
    • A proactive thinker who is willing to take a chance.
    • Experience with UAT Testing with stakeholders and Data Gathering for applications is also required.
    • Knowledge of the key technologies relevant to ServiceNow integration solutions, including Integration Hub, SSO, Web Services, and LDAP.
    • Knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities, including SPM, GRC/IRC, ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, or HRSD and ITIL frameworks.
    • Recent experience working in an Agile development environment as a Developer (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
    • An understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including recent successful and demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) is expected.#LI-JP1WHO IS VONTIER
