AVP/VP - Legal - BFS - Pune, India - Laksh

Description

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including but not limited to loan agreements, lease agreements, vendor contracts, and service agreements.

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the operations of an NBFC.
• Managing and overseeing banking documents, such as loan documentation, security agreements, and credit facilities.
• Providing legal counsel and guidance to senior management on strategic business initiatives, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and mitigating potential risks.
• Advising on corporate governance matters and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Conducting legal research and staying abreast of regulatory developments impacting the NBFC sector.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk management, and compliance teams, to address legal issues and support business objectives.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs to enhance legal awareness and compliance within the organization.
• Managing relationships with external legal counsel and other thirdparty service providers as necessary.
• Handling any other legal matters or projects as assigned by the management team.

• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as an LLM or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Experience working as a corporate legal counsel, preferably within NBFC industry, with a focus on nonlitigation matters.
• Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance requirements applicable to NBFCs.
