- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the operations of an NBFC.
- Managing and overseeing banking documents, such as loan documentation, security agreements, and credit facilities.
- Providing legal counsel and guidance to senior management on strategic business initiatives, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and mitigating potential risks.
- Advising on corporate governance matters and ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Conducting legal research and staying abreast of regulatory developments impacting the NBFC sector.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including finance, risk management, and compliance teams, to address legal issues and support business objectives.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs to enhance legal awareness and compliance within the organization.
- Managing relationships with external legal counsel and other thirdparty service providers as necessary.
- Handling any other legal matters or projects as assigned by the management team.
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a recognized institution; additional qualifications such as an LLM or equivalent will be an advantage.
- Experience working as a corporate legal counsel, preferably within NBFC industry, with a focus on nonlitigation matters.
- Strong understanding of corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance requirements applicable to NBFCs.
