    Who we are looking for

    Global Delivery is a crucial component of State Street's business operations. With a workforce of about 30,000 spread across various locations worldwide, including key hubs in EMEA, APAC, and North America, as well as global hubs in China, Poland, and India.

    Functionally, we serve as the backbone and nerve center supporting the investment servicing lifecycle for key asset classes such as Asset Management, Asset Owners, Insurance, and Alternatives like PE, RE, and Hedge funds, among others.

    Global Delivery India plays a pivotal role in our global operations, providing services such as custody, accounting, fund administration, alternatives, middle office support, transfer agency, and on-boarding services across different client segments and investment structures.

    We are seeking a Head of Business Risk Management for Global Delivery - India to join the Global Delivery India management team

    Although this position is initially based in Bangalore, we are open to considering candidates residing in any location in India where we have a significant presence.

    What you will be responsible for

    Critical business priorities:

    • Acting as a strategic partner to the Global Delivery India Business in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
    • Ensuring consistency and adoption of BRM framework, principles, and methodologies for managing business risks across Global Delivery India
    • Deep domain knowledge in risk/compliance, strong problem-solving abilities, and a profound understanding of the financial industry and State Street's products and services
    • Proven leadership skills to navigate ambiguity, translate risk requirements into the Global Delivery India Strategy, and engage with senior business stakeholders globally to provide innovative solutions
    • A track record of leading and implementing risk and control strategies effectively

    Role Definition:

    • Providing strategic and tactical leadership on risk and control environment effectiveness and remediation of risk areas
    • Understanding the organization's strategy to challenge and report on the risk profile and operational exposures of Global Delivery India
    • Collaborating with Global Delivery BRM to ensure comprehensive coverage within global BRM programs
    • Acting as a liaison with internal departments, regulators, and external parties on non-financial risk matters related to Global Delivery India
    • Supporting the implementation of consistent risk and control practices globally
    • Developing a team of business risk professionals to ensure operational activities uphold risk management standards
    • Collaborating or establishing core disciplines of Business Risk Management

    The ideal candidate for the Head of Business Risk Management for Global Delivery - India role should have:

    • Over 15 years of experience in financial services or risk management
    • Leadership skills in managing risk across regions
    • Experience engaging at a senior level with clients, service providers, and regulators
    • Strong skills in team leadership, coaching, communication, and talent management
    • Focus on optimizing technology and operational risk management
    • Passion for service quality and client satisfaction
    • Ability to think strategically, manage complexity, and prioritize effectively
    • Relevant graduate or masters qualification applicable to the role
