    Looking to on-board a Merchandiser for lifestyle products that are made by artisans and craftsmen of rural India.

    Responsibilities

    • to plan and implement various merchandising strategies
    • to collaborate and source from vendors and handicraft artisans and build long lasting relationships with them.
    • Understanding our market requirement, monitoring inventory
    • Calculating the consumption of raw material to maximize profits, monitoring the sourcing of material for production
    • Ensuring quality of products made by artisans
    • Ensuring product packaging & displays appeal to patrons
    • Forecasting the production of different product categories
    • Vendor negotiations and raising purchase orders
    • The candidate is expected to report & analyze the magnitude of social impact we as an organization can make by recording number of artisans working with us, the stipends being distributed and recruiting new artisans at the centers on a monthly basis
    • Plan and handle training & intervention programs where we travel to meet our artisans and provide skill enhancement training sessions.

    The candidate must be able to handle supply chain issues and monitoring artisans living in remote areas. The candidate is expected to have excellent organization and interpersonal and decision-making skills, to handle pressure and ensure clients are satisfied in the best possible way besides meeting the company's targets

    We prefer candidates who have had experience working with village artisans, community craft centers or women self-help groups.

    Experience:

    Knowledge of textiles or handicrafts

    2 to 4 years experience as a merchandiser
