    Position OverviewIDC is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful individual in Analytics and AI research based in India, preferably Bengaluru.

    The primary responsibility will be achieving the program's financial, business development, and research objectives as per assigned targets.

    The individual will provide thought leadership to the market on important AI trends as well as helping coordinate other Asia Pacific and global IDC research analysts.

    The Analyst will be IDC Asia Pacific Insights' primary research leader in areas encompassing AI strategies, Machine learning and its business and social impacts.


    They will have the following responsibilities:


    Gathering information regarding related technologies and vendors and end usersGrow the AP AI research programs through thought leadership and business development.

    Overseeing and collaborating with other team members to create research content through document writing, white papers, infographics, info briefs, videos, etc.

    Coordinate and contribute to AI research for IDC InsightsContribute research and thought leadership to consulting projects across Asia.
    Assure that the research requirements/schedules of the programs are met.
    Support client inquiries related to research reports and topics pertinent to research.
    Coordinate the AI research with other IDC regions.


    Success in this role will require a results-oriented, analytical individual with at least 10 years of relevant background in either market research, consulting, academia, IT journalism, or IT industry experience in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and/or data analytics.

    Since he/ she will also be supporting primary research with vendors and industry experts to acquire market insights in Asia Pacific, including partnering research efforts with relevant country analysts in the local IDC offices, we expect that this person will possess good communication skills, able to interact with mid- to top-level executives, and be eager to explore how AI is changing the face of business and markets in Asia Pacific.

    This position will work closely with IDC's Sales and Marketing teams, management, prospects/clients, and analysts.

    Skills/Qualifications RequiredMinimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent – IT, marketing, statistics, economics, or business degree preferred. Relevant advanced qualifications are a major plus.
    Experience in economics, business and research methodologies would also be most helpful.

    Written and verbal fluency in English is a must because the analyst will be interacting and communicating with other analysts and executives across the world.

    Apart from strong skills working with Microsoft Office productivity tools, the candidate's familiarity with analytics tools e.g., PowerBI and relational/non-relational databases.

    The person must also be resourceful, independent and a self-learner.

    This will be a full-time position.
