    Position Overview:
    The Mechanical Engineer - Technology Integration


    will support the execution of advanced technology development for integration into JBPCO Business Unit truck bodies on electric vehicle chassis.

    Duties will include requirements definition, documentation, and validation using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology to develop Product Solutions Functional Architectures; benchmarking competitor vehicles and platforms for optimized solutions; ensuring the product systems and components meet customers' expectation and regulatory requirements; work with both internal and external testing personnel to ensure testing goals are understood and met.

    Plan a vast range of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystem testing. Provide simulation analysis support, reporting, and debugging.

    This is a role for a systems engineer with 1-3 years of Automotive industry experience - commercial vehicle applications are of particular interest.

    Experience with Networking, Connectivity, and/or Automation highly desired.


    Essential Responsibilities:


    Technology Integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Thermal Sub-systems into Product SolutionsRequirements definition and documentationValidation of requirements using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologyProduct Solutions Functional Architecture definitionTechnical Project Coordination for other project engineers' and suppliers' requirements, architecture, and designDevelop product documentation including specifications, architecture documents, schematics, BOM, control drawings, feasibility assessment, analysis and test reports within the procedures and requirements of a formal product development processSupport system and subsystem level simulation (e.g.

    HIL) and testingDevelop, maintain, and enhance, DFMEA, DVP, and other gate deliverables throughout the gate review process.
    Author test plans and reports of technology/controls systems, mechanical, electrical, software, and thermal system test procedures. Tracing of vehicle and systems requirements to test cases.
    Develop, maintain, and enhance, DFMEA, DVP&R, and other deliverables.
    Support simulation activities (input, feedback, and reporting)

    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's Degree in either Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering1-3 years of Automotive industry experience, or relevant experience from another industryDemonstrated experience with requirements and task management activitiesPractical experience with Requirement Management tools (e.g. Polarion, Jama, etc)

    Practical experience Task management (e.g.

    Jira, etc)Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated experience making presentations and technical reportsDemonstrated initiative and strong listening skillsProficient in MS OfficeDesired QualificationsMaster's DegreeNetworking, Connectivity, and/or Automation experiencePractical experience with Controller Area Network (CAN bus) and tools (Vector CANalyzer, etc)Ability to analyze MATLAB Simulink modelsCode of Ethics:
