    Job Description:

    Role Overview:

    We are in search of a Machine Learning Engineer (MLE) who will have a pivotal role in creating and executing machine learning solutions to foster innovation and productivity across our projects.

    The perfect candidate will have a solid base in machine learning, data processing, and software development, with the capacity to seamlessly collaborate with current models and introduce new models in production.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Develop, refine, and implement machine learning models to aid project goals.
    • Analyze and process extensive datasets to guide model improvement and evolution.
    • Enhance and sustain current machine learning models within our frameworks, ensuring they comply with our performance and accuracy standards.
    • Cooperate with multidisciplinary teams to embed machine learning solutions in our operational structure.
    • Use software development tools to maintain a strong, scalable codebase.
    • Employ various machine learning methods (e.g., statistics, clustering, classification, outlier analysis) to address intricate issues.
    • Keep abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and AI.
    • Test new algorithms and tools to refine existing methodologies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate machine learning models into applications.
    • Convey discoveries and technical aspects to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with software engineering principles, version control systems.
    • Deploy machine learning models in production settings.
    • Monitor model performance and update models as needed to sustain accuracy.
    • Fine-tune model hyperparameters and conduct cross-validation to assure solid model performance.
    • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Python and knowledge of essential machine learning packages like numpy, pandas, scikitlearn, and xgboost.
    • Understanding of data structures, data modeling, software architecture, and software development tools, including Git and virtual environments.
    • Demonstrated capability in applying machine learning techniques to resolve real-world problems.
    • Experience in deploying machine learning models in code and collaborating with existing models.
    • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work individually or within a team.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Background in constructing and utilizing API endpoints.
    • Proficiency in cloud computing, particularly with AWS.
    • Experience in deploying open-source deep learning models, preferably in the Life Sciences field.
    • Proficiency in Deep Learning frameworks, such as PyTorch.
    • Experience in creating and managing MLOps pipelines.
