    Required as soon as possible, the governors of Hazelbury Bryan primary School are looking to appoint a Childcare Assistant for Breakfast and After School Club at this thriving school in the Blackmore Vale.

    Hours per week = am and pm) Monday to Friday. This is a fixed term contract until 19/07/2024 (if preference is given to only breakfast or after school club, please state this on your application form).

    We are a unique, community, rural and successful school set in beautiful grounds within Hazelbury. The school currently caters for 92 wonderful pupils aged 4 to 11 years and 23 nursery children from the age of 2 years old.

    We are looking to appoint a friendly, approachable person, who enjoys a busy working environment. Your main role will be to ensure the safety, general welfare and conduct of pupils during extended school hours, breakfast club and after school. You would lead on planning, preparing and supporting the children with suitable activities that engage their interests. We are a small friendly team who will welcome you warmly, and need someone with a positive, can do attitude to support our existing staff team.

    You will be working from:

  • 7:30am until 8.30am providing before school care
  • 3.30pm to 5.30pm providing after school care
  • The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant and recent experience of working with primary age children
  • Support with planning and organising provision for children

    Keeping Children Safe in Education

    Hazelbury Bryan Primary School will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
