Job Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished Project Management Department Head with extensive experience in Mobile and Web App development companies. The ideal candidate should have over 4 years of overall project management experience, including a minimum of 2 years leading a team of project managers and overseeing multiple projects within these industries. Technical knowledge is a critical requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

1) Leadership and Technical Oversight:

• Lead and manage a team of project managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure successful project delivery
• Utilize in-depth technical knowledge to guide the team, resolve technical challenges, and make informed decisions related to Mobile and Web App development.

2) Project Planning and Execution:

• Drive strategic planning, execution, and delivery of projects within Mobile and Web App development domains.
• Define project scopes, objectives, and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with industry standards and technological requirements.
• Monitor project progress, identify technical risks, and adapt plans as necessary to ensure successful project completion.

3) Technical Resource Management:

• Efficiently manage technical resources, including budgets, manpower, and timelines, to meet project objectives and technical specifications.
• Analyze project requirements and allocate technical resources effectively, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize resource utilization.

4) Stakeholder Communication and Technical Liaison:

• Act as a primary interface between the Project Management Department and other internal departments, fostering effective technical communication and collaboration.
• Engage with clients to understand and address their technical needs, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any technical concerns.

5) Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

• Implement and refine technical project management methodologies, best practices, and tools to enhance departmental efficiency and the success rate of technical projects.
• Identify opportunities for technical process improvements and lead the implementation of strategies to maintain the highest technical quality standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management) or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of overall project management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role within Mobile and Web App development companies.
• Proven track record of managing a team of project managers and overseeing multiple projects with a strong technical focus.
• Deep technical knowledge in Mobile and Web App development technologies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and inspire technical teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.) is advantageous.
