    Mission

    We are looking for an Insights Specialist for the Decathlon global organization. This role will be a part of the Enterprise Analytics team, which would use data, analytics, scenario and predictive modeling to drive enterprise performance, strategies and transformations, and steer actions needed by leaders to achieve company goals. In this role, you will build the reporting and analytics across multiple value dimensions to serve the strategic needs of the company, and deliver the insights needed to steer the business.

    Responsibilities:

  • Building Reporting & Analytics: You will participate in building dashboards needed for steering, deliver the analytics needed for decision making and generate "always on" insights to stakeholders. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to accurately track and measure performance against these metrics.
  • Generating Insights: You will generate actionable business insights from the reporting and analytics. You will place the business needs at the center and deliver timely insights that help to make fast decisions, drive the business, enable growth and fulfill our strategies and transformations. You will work closely with other finance teams, CEO office and functional teams to have cohesion across all value dimensions. You will effectively communicate complex analytical findings and insights in a simple manner to business stakeholders.
  • Enabling Operational Analytics: You will work closely with the data team and countries toensure cohesion between the operational analytics and the enterprise analytics. You will establish ways of working with stakeholders that will enable operational insights to be integrated with strategic insights for decision making.
  • Data Literacy: You will promote and evangelize data literacy in the organization. You will build a good user experience for business stakeholders, enable them to read analytics effortlessly and foster a culture of data driven decision making in the organization. You will stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in analytics and be a data champion.
  • Profile

    Your Profile:

  • A background in analytics, with 4+ years of hands-on experience in analytics and insights.
  • An undergraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Masters degree is preferred
  • Strong experience in analyzing data and providing relevant and actionable insights to business stakeholders.
  • Ability to look at different data sets and join the dots to derive cross functional insights.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and implement dashboarding solutions for visualizing complex data sets and KPIs.
  • A strong understanding of data engineering, data preprocessing techniques, experience with SQL and database management systems for data extraction.
  • Prior experience of working with cross functional and cross cultural teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights solutions.
  • Proactive in staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in analytics.
  • Good communication and a collaborative style of working. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in retail or sports industry preferable.
  • You enjoy working in a sports-enthusiastic and agile environment, with flat hierarchies and fast decision making.
