- Architect and build scalable, maintainable, modular, and responsive web applications
- Lead initiatives to improve web development frameworks, tools, and processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Mentor engineers to ensure high-quality design, code and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and come up with efficient technical solutions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end development trends and technologies; and assess how they can make our products better
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- 8+ years of experience building large-scale data-heavy web applications
- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and coding
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and core web & browser concepts
- An eye for good UX design
- Expertise in caching, minification, bundling techniques to improve front end performance
- Experience in using front-end monitoring tools to troubleshoot errors and recognise performance bottlenecks
- Strong coding experience in React, NodeJS, and Python
- Excellent team collaboration and negotiation skills required to lead complex cross-functional technical projects
