You will be working as Category Specialist at global grade 15 and will be part of Electrification business Area for Smart Buildings division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Procurement Manager and will be responsible for designing and implementing plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supporting regional and global sourcing initiatives as required.

Your responsibilities

• Applying and implementing PL standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability
• Preparing division SCM budget targets, ensuring appropriate reporting and following up in achieving the KPI's coordinate with respective Global Commodity Managers
• Continuously working on identifying cost effective sources with clear target for quality supply meeting ABB sourcing requirements
• Working along with engineering function in implementing technical changes and coordinating for commercial impact if any
• Identifying upon cost reduction ideas, following up with concern to implement ideas with identified and qualified sources
• Working closely with cross functional teams in developing the right suppliers starting from RFQ to contract sign off
• Handling negotiation and finalizing long term agreements as per the business requirements

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Diploma Holders with strong experience would be considered
• Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience in sourcing in a manufacturing environment
• Hands on experience in sourcing and procurement operations or category management in the below given commodity
• Sourcing experience in low voltage manufacturing product lines viz., MCB / MCCB / ACB would be added advantage
• Strong costing and negotiation skills with lean process knowledge
• People relations and stakeholder engagement with strong organization skills
