    Responsibilities

    The Project Controls Organization's (PCO) primary function is to ensure all customer projects follow standard methodology and ensure all projects are setup, reviewed and maintained to the Honeywell HBS standards in financial and project execution systems. PCO ensures data integrity by enforcing compliance to project management methodology, and project accounting requirements.

    The Project Control Specialist will be responsible for complying to the systems, tools, and processes for effective PCO function for the assigned geography and LOB. The Project Control Specialist will ensure program / project management processes are implemented effectively. He/ She will ensure standardize project analysis tools and reports are used for a portfolio of large, medium and small projects.

    Other expectations from this role:

    · Deploy standard systems and processes for the project reviews and bring in consistency to ensure common project control processes are followed for all projects

    · Leverage existing tools and systems to optimize the Project Control Processes

    • Implementation of the standard Project Controls tool sets and work processes on all projects assigned within regional Operations.
    • Set-up of projects schedules, tracking, reporting, highlights deviations and proposes recovery plans.
    • Set-up of project controls tools for Budget control and monitoring project Earned Value and productivity.
    • Assist in Project timesheet coordination and management .
    • Support the Project Managers in managing project review, control and reporting processes.
    • Support Project Manager in planning, scheduling and cost control including monthly review and audit on Projects, setting up of Workbook , DCI and uploading to Project Review & Forecast Integrated System PPM Cora.
    • Perform monthly reviews, projects gating reviews (support affiliates) and audit on projects.
    • Assist project manager to coordinate internal project reviews and preparation of monthly project reports.
    • Assist the PM in tracking and monitoring project variation with respect to budget & schedule and change management.
    • Ensure the Project Control policies and procedures are consistently applied on the projects.
    • Work with Program Managers, Project Manager, Operation Managers and engineering manager to implement the work processes, data structures and technology for Project Controls.
    • Partner with the project managers, project coordinators, project admins to ensure that there is seamless handover between various project, operations, finance, sales, and engineering teams
    • Deploy standard process and tools and measure effectiveness
    • Establish regular project reviews as per guidelines, and make sure that the ERP and Project Execution systems are effectively used and updated with the most current project status.
    • Reporting the potential EACs, Change Order potentials, and exceptions to the business leaders and following up corrective actions

    YOU MUST HAVE

    · Sound understanding of various solutions HON provides to its customers

    · Basic Commercial & Financial & Contracts know how

    · Strong Project financials understanding – Cost Controls, POC, EAC, Budget, Forecasting, Contracts

    · Finance Or Process Background with Project Ops exposure shall be a plus

    · Coaching abilities / strong communication

    · 7 to 10 years of experience including team supervisory roles.

    · Cost risk analysis and Concept of Change Management

    · Familiar with MS Office applications, SAP Applications or equivalent business systems , Expert in Primavera Project Planner and / or Microsoft projects

    · Project Controls Analysis (data, indices, variances, trends, projects), Planning and Integrated scheduling (concepts and work processes

    WE VALUE

    · Bachelor's Degree preferred with 7- 10 years of experience.

    · Degree in Business, Science or Engineering, Finance or Accounting or related field

    · Experience as Business Analyst

    · Self-starter, eye for detailing

    · Demonstrated leadership experience in coordinating and overseeing successful projects and entry-level employees

    · Ability to consistently make timely decisions even in the face of complexity, balancing systematic analysis with decisiveness.

    · Ability to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience

    · Experience in financial data compilation, analysis and metrics management

    · User experience of SAP system

    · Experience in project operations & Project Management certification shall be a plus
