    Position Overview: Miles Education is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Finance to join our team in Bangalore. The Vice President of Finance will play a pivotal role in leading the finance function of the organization, driving financial strategy, and ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the company. This position offers a unique opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to make a significant impact in a fast-growing and dynamic environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Conduct financial analysis, scenario modelling, and risk assessment to support strategic decision-making.
    1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Analyse financial performance, identify key trends, and provide insights to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
    1. Financial Operations Management:
    • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
    • Optimize processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls within the finance department.
    • Implement best practices for financial management, internal controls, and risk mitigation.
    1. Strategic Financial Initiatives:
    • Lead strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, fundraising activities, and capital investments.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and assess financial feasibility and ROI.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and initiatives.
    1. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
    • Promote knowledge sharing, skills development, and succession planning to support organizational growth.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CA or advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven track record of at least 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and strategic thinking ability.
    • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modelling, and reporting.
    • Experience in managing financial operations and implementing process improvements.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results under pressure.
    • Experience in the education or professional training industry is a plus.
