Job Title: Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Surat, Gujarat Office

Department: Quality Assurance

Reports To: Software Quality Assurance Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions, focusing on advanced testing methodologies and quality control processes. With over 4 years of experience in software quality assurance, the ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of testing strategies and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed before the product goes live.
• Analyze test results, detect issues and track root causes in collaboration with the software development team to ensure they are effectively resolved.
• Enhance and maintain automation frameworks for scalability and efficiency.
• Conduct regression testing, stress testing, performance testing, and other non-functional tests.
• Mentor junior QA staff and provide guidance on QA strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to test planning and execution.
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
• Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends in the QA field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• Proven expertise in managing the entire software testing process.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Superior communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSTE, or similar.
• Experience in a specialized industry, such as healthcare or finance, where compliance and security are critical.
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
