Responsibilities of VFX Supervisor :

- Lead and supervise the visual effects team throughout the pre-production, production, and post-production phases of projects.

Develop and execute visual effects concepts, designs, and techniques that align with project goals and enhance storytelling.

- Provide artistic and technical guidance to the visual effects team, including VFX artists, animators, CG supervisors and team, compositors, and technicians, to ensure the successful execution of visual effects sequences.

Work closely with the production team to develop realistic budgets, schedules, and timelines for visual effects work, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

Supervise on-set and location shoots to capture necessary elements for visual effects integration, and provide input on lighting, camera angles, and other considerations to facilitate post-production work.

- Collaborate with the VFX Producer and external vendors, studios, and freelancers to augment in-house capabilities and deliver high-quality visual effects on time and within budget.

- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand project objectives, artistic vision, and desired visual effects outcomes.

- Provide creative input and conceptualize visual effects sequences that enhance storytelling, evoke emotion, and captivate audiences.

- Develop visual concepts, storyboards, and pre-visualization materials to guide the execution of visual effects shots.

- Demonstrate expertise in visual effects techniques and game development software, tools, and software, including but not limited to Unreal Engine, Unity, Autodesk Maya, Adobe Suite, Nuke, and Houdini.

- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in visual effects production, and implement innovative techniques to push creative boundaries.

- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules for visual effects work, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.

- Collaborate with production managers, coordinators, and vendors to allocate resources, manage workflows, and track deliverables throughout the post-production process.

- Anticipate and mitigate potential risks and challenges related to visual effects production, and proactively implement solutions to address issues as they arise.

- Lead and mentor a team of visual effects artists, compositors, animators, and technicians, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and development.

- Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in visual effects production.

- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments, ensuring alignment and cohesion throughout the production pipeline.

- Maintain high-quality standards for visual effects work, reviewing shots for technical accuracy, visual consistency, and adherence to project requirements.

- Implement quality control processes and workflows to ensure the successful integration of visual effects elements into final shots.

- Comprehensive understanding of compositing, CGI integration, matte painting, motion tracking, and other visual effects techniques.

- Excellent artistic and technical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for visual storytelling.
