- Stand up and administer onpremises and cloudnative Kafka clusters using tools like Terraform or Kubernetes.
- Manage RabbitMQ deployments, including scaling, configuration, and user access control.
- Architect and create a reference architecture for Kafka implementation standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
- Stay uptodate on the latest Kafka features and best practices.
- Provide expert knowledge of Kafka brokers, ZooKeeper, Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, KSQL, REST Proxy, and Kafka Control Center.
- Configure and manage Kafka Connect, including highvolume data pipelines using Schema Registry for data serialization and deserialization.
- Implement and manage access control mechanisms for both Kafka and RabbitMQ, including provisioning resources and configuring Kerberos and SSL.
- Perform ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution for both platforms.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of the messaging infrastructure.
- Automate tasks where possible to improve efficiency.
- Possess indepth knowledge of Kafka connectors like ElasticSearch connectors, JDBC connectors, File stream connectors, JMS source connectors, Tasks, Workers, converters, and Transforms.
- Experience and knowledge of common issues associated with RHEL servers are required.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Document procedures and configurations for knowledge sharing.
- 510 years of experience in administering message queuing platforms, preferably including both Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts and principles.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) is preferred.
