    Overview:

    The Managerof Supplier Quality Development plays a crucial role in ensuringthe quality of products and services sourced from externalsuppliers. They are responsible for developing and implementingquality standards processes and systems to improve supplierperformance enhance product quality and mitigate risks. This roleis instrumental in maintaining strong supplier relationships anddriving continuous improvement in the supplychain.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Develop andimplement supplier quality strategies andobjectives.
    • Conduct supplier audits to assesscompliance with quality standards andregulations.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctionalteams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions withsuppliers.
    • Provide leadership and guidance tothe supplier quality team.
    • Monitor and analyzesupplier performance data to identify improvementopportunities.
    • Establish and maintain strongsupplier relationships to ensure alignment with qualityrequirements.
    • Drive continuous improvementinitiatives in supplier quality processes andpractices.
    • Lead and support supplierqualification and developmentactivities.
    • Manage and resolve supplier qualitynonconformances and corrective actions.
    • Ensureeffective communication and coordination with internal stakeholdersand suppliers.
    • Participate in the selection andapproval of new suppliers.
    • Develop and delivertraining programs to enhance supplier qualityawareness.
    • Contribute to the development andmaintenance of supplier quality metrics andKPIs.
    • Support the development andimplementation of quality agreements withsuppliers.
    • Stay updated on industry bestpractices and regulatory requirements related to supplierquality.

    RequiredQualifications:

    • Bachelorsdegree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) with Supply ChainManagement Quality Management diploma as aplus.
    • Minimum of 12 years ofexperience in supplier quality management or related roles withinthe Rail industry. (companies that manufacture Couplings enginesetc for rail)
    • Demonstrated experience inleading supplier development and improvementinitiatives.
    • Strong knowledge of qualitymanagement systems standards and tools (e.g. ISO 9001 Six SigmaLean etc.).
    • Proven experience in conductingsupplier audits and driving correctiveactions.
    • Excellent analytical andproblemsolving skills with the ability to drive root cause analysisand implement effective solutions.
    • Ability tolead and develop a highperforming supplier qualityteam.
    • Outstanding communication negotiation andrelationship management skills.
    • Strong projectmanagement abilities with a focus on continuousimprovement.
    • Proficiency in using quality anddata analysis tools (e.g. statistical software Minitabetc.).
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirementsand industry standards related to supplier quality andprocurement.
    • Certifications in qualitymanagement or supplier quality (e.g. CQM CQE CSSBB) are aplus.
    • Ability to travel as required to visitsuppliers and attend relevant industryevents.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in acrossfunctional and global environment.
    • Strongorganizational skills and the ability to manage multiple prioritieseffectively.
