Roles andResponsibilities:

Strategizingand Planning

Ensure that anappropriate design tools software and resources are available toachieve TEAM businessesdrivers.

PresentTechnical advancement update in existing methods process proceduresstandards and other rules and regulations to the management.Prepare necessary budget for annualinvestment.

Toadopt the technological changes in designing project engineeringfor accuracy in design and timely delivery of design to customersand release formanufacturing.

MechanicalDesign and Detailed Engineering

Study andunderstand the customer data sheets specification andstandards.

Complete themechanical design calculations using PV Elite HTRI Nozzle PRO andCodecalc and detailed engineering to estimation for submittingcompetitive estimation and proposal to customers in preorder stageand design the equipment check and release drawings formanufacturing after obtaining an approval from thecustomers.

ObtainingCustomer Approval

Coordinate forapproval of design documents from customers / clients AuthorisedInspector (AI) Professional Engineers (PE) Indian BoilerRegulations (IBR) competent person petroleum & ExplosiveSafety Organizations (PESO) as applicable to proceed formanufacturing.

Materialstakeoff

Design Check andrelease of materials takeoff for long lead items such as platesforgings tubes fittings pipes andgaskets.

DesignChange Request and ChangeReview

Technicallyreview the design change request from the manufacturing quality andexecution team and approve as appropriate without deviating thecustomer specification codes andstandards.

ResolvingTechnical Queries

Understand thecustomer specification and meeting the Codes requirement standardsand procedures to resolve the queries raised by thecustomers.

ChangeClaims Post Orders changes bycustomers.

Review thedesign change request raised by internal departments necessarychange claim should be discussed with the customers prepare andsubmit the claim with thecustomers.

Review the postorder requirements from the customers make calculations prepare thedesign.

Preparenecessary change claim for the post order changes by customers.Ensure the change claims are approved and share shared with the PMOteam

InputstoProcurement

Timely issue ofTDC Technical Delivery Condition to PPC and Purchase for materialprocurement.

PostDrawingDocumentation

Issue ofTransport sketch before 2 months from the date ofdispatch.

Submission ofWeld map and final AsBuilt drawing within 5 days from the date ofdrawingsubmission.

ASMEand other Audits

Prepare updateand implement ASME requirements for audit. Follow guidelines forthe design fabrication inspection and testing asrequired.

Performancereview for continualimprovement

Encourage teamto take up challengingtasks

Offer coachingsupport to theteam

Support team indeveloping career path andIDPs

Developsuccessors to the critical/keyroles

Toconduct periodic departmental meetings to foster oneness andcommitment to thevision/goals.

Protects theinterests of stake holders and maintain healthy networking with allthe stake holders (E.g. Customers/Suppliers/ / Employees /Shareholders /Society/ Auditors / Third Parties / Statutoryauthorities / Bankers / Governmentetc.)
