- Communicate with business stakeholders to understand their short- and long-term goals; gain insights into the business and understand/get access to all data available (internally as well as externally)
- Come up with data driven insights to help business meet their AOP targets
- Able to influence decision-making with the business heads and help define strategy for respective business units
- Define the AOP for the Analytics team and create a plan to achieve the same
- Build the team – Define the structure of the team and key skillsets required for team members; work with HR team to close these requirements
- Manage the team – Requires managing the team + escalations along with guiding the team on analytical framework setting and usage of right tools to deliver projects while meeting timelines.
- Raise the bar – Focus on quality of data and analytics being delivered by the team
- Drive technology requirements and investments with Head of Data Science/CTO to improve the quality and speed of analytics
- Bridge the gap between business requirements and modelling / analytical deliverables.
- Leadership skills – Good communication/influence to be able to drive projects within the team as well as cross-functionally
- Technical know-how on relevant data and analytics tools
- Basic sense on how to evaluate modelling approach and evaluate strength of a model

Business knowledge (About Finance industry/ Risk) -- Should have a good understanding of the banks and fin-techs in India. Should have experience in two or more verticals:

Leadership skills (Team management and influence and stake holder management) -- Handle a team of 5+ resources who will work to get the end results.
