    Description

    Responsibilities:

    1) Financial Controls Management:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and mitigate risks.
    • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments of financial processes, identifying control gaps and implementing corrective actions.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.

    2) Technical Guidance and Process Improvement:

    • Interpret accounting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry standards, providing guidance to finance teams on complex financial matters.
    • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and SOPs to standardize financial processes and strengthen internal controls.
    • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.

    3) Legacy Cleanup and Data Integrity:

    • Lead efforts to clean up legacy financial data, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
    • Implement controls and processes to maintain data consistency and reliability, minimizing the risk of errors and financial misstatements.
    • Collaborate with IT and data management teams to enhance systems and tools for data cleanup and integrity.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
    • Extensive experience with 3+ yrs in finance controllership, internal audit, statutory audit, and industrial accounting, with a focus on Ind AS compliance.
    • Deep understanding of financial controls, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements, including Ind AS, IFRS, and local GAAP.
    • Proven track record in managing Internal audits, implementing internal controls, and driving process improvements.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify control weaknesses or areas for improvement.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
    • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced MS Excel skills preferred.
    • Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
