Job Title - Genesys Test Engineer

Location - Hyderabad/Bangalore

Position - Full Time

Experience - 3-6 Years

Uses Genesys specific tools to manage and report daily work assignments, which are but not limited to Genesys Project, JIRA and other automated testing tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Familiar with testing processes and practices
• Development, documentation, and execution of automated and manual tests
• Work collaboratively with product manager, development & QA teams during all stages of software development life cycle
• Exposure to test automation tools

Roles & responsibilities:

• requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• test cases and creates or updates test case documents with assistance from core engineering team.
• detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• test cases, identify bugs, evaluate bugs with appropriate priority and severity, and report bugs.
• prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• the gap between the function specifications and implementation.
• the functionality of the entire product and takes ownership of the hot fixes allocated to him/her for testing.
• recommendations for enhancing product features.
• quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
• up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• testing using the open-source tools

Required Qualifications

• experience validating various Contact Center components related to voice, email, and work items channels both on-Prem and Genesys cloud to include Genesys data and reporting.
• both Functional and Non-Functional expertise in Test Case Design, Test Execution, Defect Management, Reporting and Test Asset Maintenance (manual and automated). Experience of logging the bugs on Qtest and Jira.
• in preparing Test plan strategy, Test Approach and Test Results documents.
• to design and execute various testing techniques and strategies.
• knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• in test automation tools supporting Contact Center platforms. (i.e. selenium or Qtest )
• experience with Cyara for automated IVR testing.
• the SDLC, Agile/SCRUM concepts and software release cycle.
• Oral & Written communication skills.
• customer interfacing skills and ability to collaboratively work with different stakeholders in IT and Business.
• to have experience in Genesys cloud testing.
