    Job Title: Software Library Manager

    Position Overview:

    As a Librarian in the Technology function of our Digital Bank, you will be responsible for managing and organizing information resources, both physical and digital, to support the bank's technology initiatives. You will play a critical role in maintaining an efficient and effective information management system that enables quick access to relevant information and resources for technology professionals within the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Information Resource Management:

    • and maintain an organized and up-to-date collection of technical books, journals, articles, and other reference materials related to technology and banking.
    • and classify resources using industry-standard library systems and tools.
    • the availability of relevant and current information resources to support technology professionals in their research, problem-solving, and innovation efforts.

    Digital Asset Management:

    • and maintain a digital library of electronic resources, including online journals, databases, and subscription-based services.
    • metadata standards and tagging systems to enhance searchability and discoverability of digital assets.
    • with IT teams to ensure the smooth functioning and accessibility of digital library platforms and tools.
    • Retrieval and Research Support:
    • research assistance to technology professionals, helping them locate and retrieve information from both physical and digital resources.
    • advanced searches and utilize specialized databases to fulfill specific information needs.
    • updated with the latest trends and advancements in technology, particularly within the banking industry, to offer valuable insights and suggestions.

    User Training and Outreach:

    • training sessions and workshops to educate technology professionals on effective information retrieval techniques and available resources.
    • awareness and usage of the library's services and resources through regular communications, newsletters, and intranet postings.
    • with other departments to integrate library resources into various technology initiatives and projects.

    Collaboration and Partnership:

    • with internal stakeholders, such as technology teams, compliance, risk management, and legal, to understand their information needs and tailor library services accordingly.
    • with external vendors, publishers, and organizations to acquire relevant resources and maintain subscriptions to necessary publications.
    • in professional networks, conferences, and seminars to stay abreast of industry trends and build relationships within the library and technology communities.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or a related field.
    • Experience as a librarian, preferably in a technology-related environment.
    • Knowledge of library cataloging systems, metadata standards, and library management software.
    • Familiarity with digital asset management tools and platforms.
    • Proficiency in conducting research using online databases, search engines, and other library resources.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and deliver user training sessions.
    • Knowledge or interest in technology, banking, and financial services is highly desirable
