Haptiq brings next-generation technology to private capital markets through the Olympus suite of cloud-based solutions designed to empower private equity, and credit funds as well as the firms in which they invest. The Olympus platform has deep functional capabilities and provides insight to investors and private companies across a broad spectrum of functions and industries.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading our development service teams, designing and implementing end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with the organization's technology strategy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business goals and requirements.
• Understand and communicate end-to-end solutions that address complex business challenges.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate processes, tools and technologies for effective delivery of IT solutions
• Lead and guide development teams in implementing the proposed solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards..
• Identify and mitigate risks related to solution architecture and implementation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure successful delivery of solutions on time and within budget.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Recommend and implement new processes and tools to speed delivery and improve delivery quality
• Develop, measure, and manage key metrics for group's performance
• Drive high throughput

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 7-10+ years of technology industry experience, preferably in an IT service company
• Strong enterprise architecture background (processes, data, methodologies, frameworks, security)
• Experience across multiple application tech stacks (Frontend, backend, data and infrastructure). ReactJS/NodeJS/RoR and relational databases such as Postgres, MySQL and non-relational databases such as MongoDB and others are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to make well-informed decisions under pressure
• Experience working with multiple cross-functional teams
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Use of data and SMART concepts to monitor and measure delivery metrics.
