    Morrison Hershfield India, an Architectural/Engineering Consulting firm, is seeking up to 2 Revit Structural Designers for its Critical Facilities practice. Understand, this is going to be the first position of its kind in MH India Office, there will be a fair amount of independence required until the team grows.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

  • This role is for a Revit Structural Designer/Modeler/Draftsperson who will work exclusively on buildings infrastructure projects in North America. This position will report to the local CAD/Revit Manager or Staff Manager in the Vizag office, while also interfacing directly with our structural design teams throughout our offices in Canada.
  • The candidate would liaise with both Revit technologists and engineers in our structural design teams in Canada.
  • The candidate would be involved in buildings projects in a variety of asset classes such as commercial, industrial, institutional, manufacturing, mission critical and transit.
  • Typical tasks would involve initial model setup, modeling of framing and foundations, sheet setup, documentation, and annotation of the model on sheets, and updates to model and revision of drawings based on redlines by engineers.
  • There is also a need for this role to act in a Quality Assurance and Quality Control capacity, where model integrity, sheet organization and layout, consistency of annotation, and overall presentation quality of the drawings would be reviewed and modified/revised where required.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a reputed university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the engineering design and consulting industry doing structural drafting and modeling.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Revit preparing structural models at a LOD300 or higher.
  • Experience with drafting and modeling for steel-framed and concrete-framed construction for large scale industrial, commercial, institutional, and manufacturing type projects is required.
  • Knowledge of international drafting standards and conventions specifically as they relate to structural drawings. Experience producing drawings for the North American market would be an asset.
  • Experience with other building assemblies such as masonry, timber or precast concrete would be an asset.
  • Experience with conventional shallow and deep foundations is preferred. . Experience with alternative foundation systems such as helical pile, micro pile, etc. or retaining walls would be an asset.
  • Experience with steel detailing and/or concrete rebar detailing would be an asset.
  • Experience with Revit content creation (i.e., families, templates, scripts), Clash Detection & Avoidance and Navisworks would be an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Proficiency in Spoken and Written English language.
  • Ability to be detailed oriented, function in a multi-task environment, follow complex instructions, and meet fast paced deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet client deadlines.
