    Job Description: Senior Sales Manager - Airline

    Position Overview:

    As a Senior Sales Manager working in the airline industry, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share for the airline company. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a team of sales professionals to develop and implement effective sales strategies, build strong relationships with key clients, and achieve sales targets. You will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and fostering partnerships to enhance the airline's market position.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the executive team to develop comprehensive sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new revenue opportunities.
    2. Team Leadership: Manage and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve individual and team sales targets. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team.
    3. Key Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agencies, corporate customers, and other relevant stakeholders. Negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
    4. New Business Development: Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns to attract new customers.
    5. Sales Performance Analysis: Track and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and customer feedback. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and improve sales effectiveness.
    6. Pricing and Contracting: Set competitive pricing strategies and terms for different markets and customer segments. Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
    7. Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop accurate sales forecasts and budgets, providing regular updates to the management team. Take proactive measures to achieve revenue goals and control costs.
    8. Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of the latest developments in the airline industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. Use this knowledge to adjust sales strategies and positioning.
    9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience and address any customer-related issues promptly.
    10. Performance Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed actions to improve sales performance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in airline sales, with a track record of exceeding sales targets and leading successful sales teams.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
    • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • In-depth knowledge of the airline industry, including market dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry trends.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
    • Proficiency in using sales management software and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
    • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
