The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.
Responsibilities
Product Development and Leadership:
Lead and manage the R&D team to drive New Product Development (NPD) efforts, ensuring innovation that meets market needs and exceeds customer expectations.
Develop and execute comprehensive R&D strategies and roadmaps aligned with the company's overall goals, fostering a culture that takes projects from concept to completion.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, marketing) to define product requirements, specifications, and timelines.
Maintain clear and open communication with clients throughout the development process.
Technical Expertise and Market Awareness:
Stay informed on the latest market trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape within the electronics industry to identify new opportunities for product innovation.
Team Management and Development:
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that values camaraderie, brotherhood, curiosity, and continuous learning within the R&D team.
Encourage experimentation and exploration of new ideas while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, empowering them to excel and grow in their roles.
Project Management and Resource Allocation:
Manage the R&D budget, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Drive the development and implementation of robust R&D processes, methodologies, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
External Relations and Partnerships:
Lead technology scouting and evaluation activities to identify potential partnerships, collaborations, or acquisitions to enhance the company's R&D capabilities.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and academic institutions, leveraging external expertise and resources
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
B2B startup project management experience.
Bachelors in Engineering/CS + experience (4-8 yrs) in B2B Electronics R&D
Proven track record leading projects from concept to launch
Tech expertise (electronics, hardware/software dev)
Project mgmt, communication, and problem-solving skills
Bonus Points:
Masters degree (MBA preferred, IIM)
