Multiple openings for Associate / Senior Associate -

PwC is looking for experienced renewable energy professionals (7+ years) to support large‑scale renewable energy programs; Post‑graduation: M.Tech / MBA / CA / MCA (Renewable Energy, Power Systems, Energy, Policy, Finance, AI/Data Science – role dependent); 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy / energy infrastructure sector.

Minimum Qualification:-

• Post‑graduate degree (M.Tech. / Master's / MBA / CA / MCA) in one or more of the following disciplines:

– Renewable Energy Engineering & Management

– Electrical / Mechanical / Power Systems / Energy Systems / Power Management

– Chemical / Bio‑technology / Agriculture (for Bioenergy, CBG, Hydrogen)

– Energy Policy / Sustainability / Environmental Science / LLB (for Policy & ESG roles)

– Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Data Science / Computer Science (for Digital Energy roles)

– Hydro Power / Water Resources / Hydrology / Structural / Power Systems (for PSP roles).

Must Experience:-

• Minimum 7+ years of total professional experience

• Demonstrated experience in renewable energy or allied energy infrastructure sectors

• Specific experience in one or more of the following domains, as applicable:

– Utility‑scale solar PV projects (MW‑scale)

– Rooftop solar programme implementation

– Green hydrogen project development and electrolyzer systems

– Bioenergy / CBG project evaluation and feedstock management

– Grid integration, hybrid RE systems, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

– Digital energy, AI‑based load forecasting, SCADA, and data analytics

– Procurement, EPC tendering, GeM, and contract management

– Renewable energy policy, regulation, RPO/REX, tariff policy, and PPAs

– Project finance, PPP structures, VGF, and financial modeling

– ESG frameworks, carbon markets, and sustainability reporting

– Capacity building, training programmes, and skill development

– Pumped Storage Projects (PSP) feasibility, tendering, and regulatory approvals

– Floating solar project design, engineering, mooring systems, and grid integration.

Advantage:-

• Prior experience in management consulting, particularly with Government / PSU / State agencies

• Familiarity with MNRE guidelines, DISCOM processes, and state‑level RE schemes

• Exposure to international development agency formats (World Bank, ADB, etc.)

• Experience in multi‑stakeholder coordination involving utilities, regulators, vendors, and developers

• Prior involvement in large‑scale programmes or mission‑mode initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Support DPR preparation, feasibility studies, and technical due diligence for renewable energy projects

• Provide program management and implementation support for state‑wide RE initiatives

• Advise on policy frameworks, regulatory matters, and compliance requirements

• Support procurement and tendering processes, including EPC, PPP, and hybrid models

• Undertake financial modeling, viability assessment, and PPP/VGF structuring

• Advise on grid connectivity, RE integration, and energy storage sizing and deployment

• Support digital transformation initiatives including AI‑enabled energy analytics and monitoring systems

• Assist in carbon credit assessment, ESG reporting, and sustainability initiatives

• Design and deliver capacity building and training programmes for stakeholders

• Support project monitoring, KPI tracking, benchmarking, and reporting

• Provide strategic advisory inputs on emerging RE technologies and programmes.

Skills Required:-

• Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills in the relevant domain

• Ability to prepare investment‑grade reports, feasibility studies, policy notes, and presentations

• Sound understanding of renewable energy technologies, regulations, and market mechanisms

• Proficiency in financial, technical, or data‑driven analysis, as applicable to the role

• Excellent communication, presentation, and report‑writing skills

• Ability to manage cross‑functional teams, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and deliver under tight timelines.
